Watercolour Painting Workshops in Lancashire
A lovely and relaxing Watercolour Painting Workshop for Beginners in Lancashire, inspired by beautiful dried flowers and their imperfect beauty.
There's three simple stages to the workshop... Four if you include coffee and cake.
To start, we will do a little warm up exercise, getting comfortable with watercolours and relaxing your wrist (and mind).
I will then show you some simple watercolour techniques, inspired by the shapes and textures of the dried flowers. You will then practise the techniques and I will be on hand to guide you further if needed.
We will then take a short break for coffee and cake.
And then finally it's time to start your 'final' piece and put what you've learnt into practise! I know a blank piece of paper can be daunting, so I will provide examples and inspiration to help get your creative juices flowing and we can discuss your ideas together.
Lovely reviews about the workshops...
'Fantastic experience. I have been wanting to start painting with watercolours for a while. It was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere which put you all at ease whilst being instructed on basic techniques. Even suggestions of which brush, paints and paper to use on your voyage of discovery into this new genre . I loved every minute.' - Karen - January 2023
'What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! I'm not naturally a creative person, but I found Carla's painting style so therapeutic and enjoyable, I will definitely be booking on again.' - Angela 2021
'Carla has a lovely way of teaching and explaining. I learnt several techniques in one lesson and I can’t wait for my next class! I highly recommend Carla’s watercolour workshops.' - Nicola 2020
