A little bit about me (Carla Gebhard)...
I’m a watercolour artist and illustrator, based in the Forest of Bowland AONB, in Lancashire. I specialise in nursery and children’s prints, inspired by animals, nature and all things whimsical. I also teach private watercolour workshops from my shop/studio and group workshops at various lovely venues.
Over the years I have worked alongside other likeminded brands creating artwork for products, zines, children’s activities, packaging and branding for small businesses. I’m passionate about using my artwork to inspire a love of nature and whimsy, especially in young children, and I have illustrated a couple of children’s picture books and colouring activities.
You can see my full collection of prints in my shop and studio at Wyresdale Park, as well as in a couple of other lovely shops (I’m hoping to grow this in 2025!). I offer wholesale nursery prints and greetings cards to lovely retailers and garden centres that share similar values. If you’re interested in becoming a stockist, then please contact me here.
Visit My Shop/Studio
You can visit my lovely little shop/studio in Lancashire. Nestled amongst the cobbles at Wyresdale Park. This is where I paint all the original watercolour paintings and bring the prints to life. You can see the full collection up close and in person or even learn to paint in a private watercolour workshop for beginners.
There is parking on site, other lovely shops to explore and a café where you can stop for a well-earned rest.

Wyresdale Park – Home of My Little Shop & Studio
My shop and studio is located at the beautiful Wyresdale Park, a truly magical place filled with whimsy and charm and it's the inspiration behind all of my paintings.
If you're planning a visit, you can easily make a day of it with the whole family. My shop/studio is tucked just behind the Apple Store Café, and alongside other lovely businesses. There's so much to explore - creative workshops, fitness classes, beauty treatments, lake activities, and there's even something for fossil enthusiasts. And, of course, don't forget the Apple Store Café, which serves some of the best cakes in the area!
The Bowland Fells are just a short walk from the Wyresdale car park, and one of my favourite walks, Nicky Nook, is well worth doing if you’re making a day of your visit. Muddy boots and dogs are always welcome in the shops and café afterwards!
The quaint village of Scorton is just down the lane from Wyresdale Park, offering a selection of garden centres, cafés, a children’s playground, and cozy bed and breakfasts for those wishing to extend their visit.
With Every Print You Purchase, You Help Plant Trees and Care for Nature
My love for nature and the local area inspires both me and my paintings every day. To give back, I donate 5% of every print sale to planting trees locally with the Wyre Rivers Trust. By supporting my small business, you're also supporting nature and helping to preserve it for future generations.
Thanks to your support, I’ve been able to donate £450 so far to the Wyre Rivers Trust, resulting in 30 trees being planted in the local area. Each tree costs £15 to plant, which covers the nurturing and care needed for the first 3 years to give it the best chance of thriving.
